Security

In order to provide a safe and orderly environment, Lubbock High School will utilize a variety of security measures as allowed by law and district policy, including but not restricted to drug-sniffing dogs, weapons-sniffing dogs, walk-thorough and/or hand-held metal detectors, security camera systems, and crisis drills.

Any contraband or prohibited items will be seized, and students will be held accountable for their possession.

Personal sound systems, such as CD players, will not be allowed in to be used in the hallway.  Each teacher will govern this in their individual classroom.

Students should be aware of the severe penalties for jokes/threats relating to bombs, weapons, etc. Refer to the LISD Student Code of Conduct for complete laws and policies.

Students are strongly encouraged to use caution in parking their cars in school parking lots and in the neighborhood around the school. All students who will be at school in the evening for any school activity should move their cars into lighted areas before dark, keep cars locked, and avoid walking to their cars alone at night.
