School
Trips
All
students who make out-of-town, school-sponsored trips
must be accompanied by a teacher sponsor and must
have the written permission of parents on file before
the trip is made. Negligence in attending sessions
or meeting curfew requirements or failure to maintain
standards of conduct acceptable to Lubbock Public
Schools may justify the sponsor's sending the student
home at the student's own expense.
All
students must meet the state and local standard of
academic eligibility.
Students
in ISS or who have been suspended are not eligible
for field trips or for other school-sponsored trips.
Students who represent Lubbock Public Schools on out-of-town
trips are expected to maintain very high standards
in every respect at all times. In the event of over-night
trips, students are to follow all rules as listed
in the District Student Code of Conduct, Westerner
Ways, and rules of the school sponsor.
