Prohibited
Conduct
Students
will be subject to disciplinary consequences if they
engage in any of the following prohibited conduct
while they are subject to the schools jurisdiction:
- scholastic
dishonesty
- conduct
that can cause injury to person or property
- leaving
school grounds or school-sponsored events without
permission
- using
profanity, lewd or vulgar language, or obscene gestures
- scuffling
or fighting or other inappropriate physical contact
- stealing
- disobeying
school rules about conduct on school buses
- failing
to comply with lawful directives given by school
personnel
- committing
extortion, coercion, blackmail, or forcing an individual
to act through force or threat or force
- committing
or assisting in a robbery, theft, or burglary
- making
ethnic, racial, or religious slurs
- verbal
abuse or derogatory or offensive remarks to others
- any
misbehavior that gives school officials reasonable
cause to believe that the conduct will substantially
disrupt the school program or incite violence
- damaging
or vandalizing property of others, including District
property
- possessing
a pellet gun, air-powered rifle, BB gun, toy gun,
or other instrument that may be perceived as a firearm
- possessing
or using Tasers or any device that emits an electrical
charge
- possessing,
using, or exhibiting school supplies or any other
item in a manner that threatens to inflict or actually
inflicts bodily harm to another person
- possessing
drug paraphernalia
- pulling
a fire alarm or discharging a fire extinguisher
when there is no smoke, fire, or danger that requires
evacuation
- calling
911 when no emergency exists
- possessing
or using martial arts objects, nunchakus, tonfa,
staff, baton, bolo
- inappropriate
physical or sexual contact
- conduct
that constitutes sexual harassment or sexual abuse
- inappropriate
or indecent exposure of a students body parts
- behaving
in any way that disrupts the school environment
or educational process
- possessing,
smoking, or using tobacco products
- possessing
or using matches or a lighter
- possessing
a knife of any size, including pocket knives
- truancy
- possessing
or selling look-alike drugs or items attempted to
be passed off as drugs or contraband
- possessing
a laser pen
- violating
computer use policies, rules, or agreements
- gambling
of any kind
- violating
safety rules
- violating
dress or groom standards
- being
a member of, pledging to become a member of, or
soliciting another person to join a public school
fraternity, sorority, secret society, or gang
- hazing
- making
a terroristic threat
- serious
threats against students, staff and school
- repeatedly
violating other previously communicated campus or
classroom standards of behavior conduct punishable
as a felony
- repeatedly
violating other previously communicated campus or
classroom standards of behavior conduct that contains
the elements of assault
- selling,
giving, or delivering to another person or possessing,
using or being under the influence of marijuana,
controlled substance, or dangerous drugs, or alcohol
or alcoholic beverage
- conduct
that contains the elements of an offense relating
to abusable glue, aerosol paint, or volatile chemicals
- conduct
that contains the elements of the offense of public
lewdness or indecent exposure
- using,
exhibiting, or possessing a firearm, illegal knife,
club, prohibited weapon
- conduct
containing the elements of the offense of aggravated
assault, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault,
arson, murder, capital murder, or criminal attempt
to commit capital murder, indecency with a child,
aggravated kidnapping.

School.

Lubbock Independent School District has zero tolerance
for weapons, drugs/alcohol, assaults, and threats
against students/employees.
