  Dual Credit Information 2008-2009
   
 

Requirements:

  • Students who have completed at least 14 high school credits (juniors/seniors)
  • Are in TSI compliance (Can be exempt based on TAKS, ACT, SAT scores or must take the THEA or Accuplacer test) Check with your grade level counselor to see if you are exempt from THEA.
  • Have permission from their high school principal and the SPC Dean of Admissions and Records

Students who are NEW to dual credit must complete a (1.) SPC application and (2.) Dual Credit/Early Admissions Application (3.) an official transcript with TSI compliance.

To allow time for processing, new students are encouraged to return their completed applications to the Admissions office no later that July 25, 2008.

Online registration April 15th -August 14th  

Payment deadline: August 14, 2008 at 3:00pm

ALL dual credit students will need to submit an updated official high school transcript, (including spring semester and TSI compliance—transcripts can be obtained from Ms. Camacho—registrar and TSI compliance from your counselor) and a dual credit/early admissions application signed by Mrs. Mouser or Mr. Vogler.

 Sophomores in the courses that are considered dual credit may get special permission to enroll in dual credit.  Sophomores must have high GPA and will need to take the Accuplacer.

**These courses are called 9 month courses and you will sign up for them 2nd semester.

Make sure that you sign up for the correct teacher/course. Forms may be obtained from www.southplainscollege.edu or from Mrs. Mouser’s office.
